"Welcome to Colorado! As a former NY'er, all I can...
Well, it’s been almost one year since I’ve posted. Wowza. I obviously didn’t stick to my commitment of documenting my quarter-life-crisis on this blog, but I did follow-through with one big thing that I’m very proud of. I made the change I really needed to. After getting a new job, new apartment, new phone, and went back to school all in NYC, I still felt unsatisified and...

Upful: Positive feelings
U so upful :)
A friend’s response to my lofty plan to quit my job in June, travel the West Coast in July, and move to CO in August…
That’s the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Who wants to move to a landlocked state in the first place?? The whole place is crawling with baby boomers which means everyone there is old balls and you will never get married and likely die alone. Sure you can cruise...
WTH has happened to me? To my commitment to this blog? To my attempt to substantiate my existence? Four months since my last post, some of the things that have occurred (in no particular order whatsoever):
- 1 wedding
- 3 funerals
- 1 baby born
- 1 engagement
- new job
- new apartment
- more broke
- laughed a whole bunch
- had my feelings hurt 2 times
- played with some dogs
- swam
-...

Having one of those super stressful weeks where I just need to CTFO and roll with it. I just referred back to The List to remind myself why I started this virtual diary. The underlying thought behind all of this is that I’m finally doing some things for myself and not catering to others. This is by far the hardest part, to not worry about everyone else and put myself (kinda) first....

After a 7am pilates class in SOHO and a typical 14-hour workday, I treated myself to a cab ride home. My driver was so impressed that I knew a quicker route than him, from the West Village to the Upper East Side, that he cut the meter a little short. It felt like one of those great milestones in life when you’re recognized as a true New Yorker by effortlessly knowing your way around the...

September 2, 1969: Forty years ago today, in Leonard Kleinrock’s UCLA lab, a group of computer scientists managed to pass bits of data from one computer to another over some some gray cable. In doing so, they created the first node of what we now call (long dramatic pause)… the Internet.

Today, I have been 26 for exactly 1 month. I just heard about the site FutureMe.org The premise of the site is to write an email to yourself and then choose when it’s sent to you, whether it’s 4.5 weeks or 45 years from now. It reminds me of 7th grade when my English teacher, Mr. Fasulo, used a very similar concept as an end-of-year assignment. I had forgotten about this until the...
